Cohort 10 - AI Research Foundations w/ Google DeepMind
A milestone tenth cohort, delivered in partnership with Google DeepMind. Sixteen weeks taking learners through DeepMind's AI Research Foundations Course 1–4, with hands-on work on Small Language Models, generative AI, and capstone projects. Applications close May 17, 2026; cohort starts May 31, 2026.

Cohort 9 - Flipped
Cohort 9 introduced a flipped-classroom model. Participants watched curated pre-recorded lectures during the week, then met every Saturday for live community discussion, Q&A, and accountability. Ten capstone teams shipped projects ranging from telecom churn prediction to cholera risk mapping.

Cohort 7
Cohort 7 ran 16 weeks of classes alongside 11 weeks of practical sessions. Students worked in teams named after African leaders, shipping projects on real-estate prediction, recommendation systems, food price forecasting, and more.

Cohort 1 - Inaugural
The inaugural cohort. AI Saturdays Lagos began as a community study group in Lagos, focused on bridging the gap between curious engineers and the structured AI knowledge most lacked access to. Five teams explored the major deep learning frameworks of the era - PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, Theano, and Nervana Neon - and published their findings as articles.
