What it is
A monthly gathering, in person in Lagos and streamed online, where the community watches a curated talk together and then discusses it. We pick from NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, the Deep Learning Indaba, and standout independent talks released through the year.
Why it works
Watching a paper walkthrough or a keynote alone is fine. Watching one with twenty other engineers and researchers, pausing to argue, and answering questions in the room is something else. Watch parties are how we keep the community current with the field without requiring anyone to register for a conference or fly to one.
Who it’s for
Working AI engineers, researchers, and advanced students. No application, just show up. Sessions are announced through the newsletter and on our community channels.
Launching soon
The first watch party is being scheduled. Session dates, the curated talk lineup, and the in-person venue in Lagos will be announced through the The Encoder newsletter. Subscribe to the newsletter to be notified when sessions go live, and follow @triai and the TRI AI YouTube channel for stream links on the day.
